JAMES LEITZ JUNIOR GOLF PROGRAM
Mission: To provide an environment and culture to grow the junior golfer’s interest and love for the game of golf through the development of skills to negotiate the golf course in a successful manner. The array of areas to work on such as full swing, shortage, putting, mental game, club fitting, strategy and physical motion are just a few of the skills needed to play successful golf. We want to provide a learning environment that is safe, fun and stimulating. We take pride in our use of technology to improve the earning environment and speed up the improvement process. James has instructed Junior Golfers that have won 21 State Championships! Will your son or daughter be number 22?
This program is designed for juniors between the ages of 10 and 17 and covers all aspects of the game of golf with an emphasis on playing. The program consists of one or two 2-hour sessions per week (16 hours/month) and includes instruction from Golf Magazine Top 100 Instructor, James Leitz. Each student will go through our progression system that includes the following components:
- Gears 3D analysis
- Trackman analysis
- Video analysis
- Fitness assessment
- On-course instruction
- Capto putting analysis
FUTURE CHAMPIONS ACADEMY
The program is for beginner juniors ages 7+ that covers the basics of golf. The goal of this program is to provide beginner junior golfers the opportunity to develop golf specific movements as well as enhance their overall athletic ability. The program is held every Wednesday afternoon at 4pm for an hour. The clinics will cover the following:
- Rules and etiquette
- Full swing analysis
- On-course instruction
- Games & prizes
PGA JUNIOR LEAGUE
PGA Jr. League is designed for junior golfers ages 7-13. The program brings family and friends together around fun, team golf experiences with expert coaching from PGA and LPGA Professionals. Boys and girls of all backgrounds and skill levels learn and play together in a supportive, two-person scramble format that encourages mentorship, builds confidence and promotes sportsmanship.
The program focuses on fun, recreation, good health and sportsmanship. PGA Jr. League is recreational and developmental in nature and works with PGA Sections and local youth organizations across the country to offer an alternative, social golf format. This unique approach highlights team play versus individual competition and serves as a feeder system to transition youth golfers to existing junior golf programs.

James LeitzJames Leitz has been the P.G.A. Golf Professional Tchefuncta Country Club for the last 29 years. James was named the Junior Promoter of the Year for the Louisiana P.G.A. in 1988. He has been ranked as one of the top 50 Junior Golf Instructors in the U.S. by U.S. Kids Golf. James has been the featured speaker at over 50 P.G.A. Educational Conferences for Golf Professionals all over the U.S.. James was a 3 time featured speaker at the M.I.T. Better Golf Through Technology Conference. James’ Golf Studio includes some of the best technology available in golf in the world: V-1 video, Titleist 3-D Biomechanics System and the Trackman.
